SUMMARY
Colony boring into shells of dead and living molluscs; diffuse, visible as small perforations in the shell surface linked by fine subsurface traceries. Autozooids occur singly below each perforation, orientated perpendicular to the shell surface; linked by pseudostolonate processes originating from the distal end of each autozooid. Orifice terminal, typically asymmetrical and enantiomorphic. Embryos brooded singly within the autozooids.
