Morphology:
Schizomavella hondti is an encrusting bryozoan that forms small patch-like colonies composed of a single layer of autozooids. Autozooids are rectangular to polygonal and are arranged in regular radiating rows. They are 0.41-0.51 by 0.26-0.35 mm.
Distribution:
Schizomavella hondti was originally described from the Ferrol Ria, and is known from several other localities in Galicia. Elsewhere the species has been recorded from Roscoff and off Hastings.
Habitat:
The species has been recorded from shell substrata in subtidal waters.
