Megapora ringens (Busk, 1856)

General description: 

Megapora ringens is an encrusting bryozoan, present in the north of the British Isles. The colonies develop as small inconspicuous round patches. The species occurs in subtidal waters between 150 – 300 m, where it most frequently colonises stones.

Megapora ringens is widely distributed in the northeast Atlantic, where it ranges from the Arctic south to Bergen (Norway) and the Shetland Isles.
