Morphology:
Neolagenipora eximia is an encrusting bryozoan that forms broad coherent sheets. Autozooids are oval to hexagonal and convex. They range in size from 0.5-0.8 by 0.3-0.5 mm.
Distribution:
Neolagenipora eximia is a boreal cold water species that has been
recorded around the Faroe Isles, Shetland and southwards to Antrim. The
species is seldom collected and its biology, ecology and geographic
distribution are almost entirely unknown.
Habitat:
The species is able to colonise hard substrates in offshore waters.
