Copidozoum tenuirostre (Hincks, 1880)

General description: 

Copidozoum tenuirostre is an encrusting bryozoan, common throughout the Mediterranean. The colonies form small, irregular patches on offshore shells and gravels, in waters less than 200 m.

Copidozoum tenuirostre is a warm temperate species that is distributed throughout the sub-tropics. It is common in the Mediterranean, extending north to the western approaches to the English Channel. The species has also been recorded from the Atlantic coast of Africa.
