Haplopoma bimucronatum (Moll, 1879)

Morphology: 

Haplopoma bimucronatum is an encrusting bryozoan that forms small, often lumpy and uneven colonies. Autozooids are approximately hexagonal and generally smaller than the autozooids of other Haplopoma species.

Distribution: 

Haplopoma bimucronatum is known from the Mediterranean, the Bay of Biscay and the Channel Islands, but no other British locations.

Habitat: 

The species is generally found on red algae in shallow water.
