Larnacicus corniger (Busk, 1859)

General description: 

Larnacicus corniger is an encrusting bryozoan that forms small irregular patches on stones, shells and corals in deep offshore waters. Autozooids are oval and approximately 0.4 by 0.25 -0.3 mm.

The species is found in boreal and Arctic waters. It is rare in the British Isles, mainly occurring in the north of the country. It has been recorded off the coasts of Norway and the Shetland Isles.
