Scruparia ambigua D'orbigny

General description:

Scruparia ambigua is generally common on British shores, and may be found throughout the world, excluding polar waters. The species colonises algae, hydroids, other bryozoans, as well as stones and shells. It ranges from the lower shore down to 50 m and occasionally deeper. The colonies are composed of a branched creeping basal portion with erect chain of zooids arising from the base. Colonies are white to transparent in colour.
