SUMMARY
Bryozoans in this family form encrusting or erect colonies. Frontal wall gymnocystal, thin, imperforate. Primary orifice schizoporelloid, without spines. Vicarious avicularia present or absent. Pore-chambers small, within the wall, or tubular. Ovicells prominent, developed in relation to special female zooids; the combines orifice closed by the zooidal operculum.
