SUMMARY
Colony encrusting; or erect, branching. Autozooids with umbonuloid frontal shield, bordered by marginal pores. Orifice bell-shaped or sinuate, often with well developed lateral condyles. Oral spines present or absent. Peristome variably developed. Adventitious avicularia present. Ovicell prominent, imperforate. Mural or basal pore chambers present.
